mighty robot

It’s no secret that we are robot lovers at Me & Zena. “The Mighty Robot” Locket Necklace is a pretty detailed, statement pendant – but his dreamiest feature of all is his opening chest. Even Ellie Goulding has fallen for him! We only have a few guys left…

2B or not 2B?

Friday, December 30th, 2011

We’ve raided our pencil cases at Me & Zena to bring you some awesomely realistic jewels. Our new stationary range lends itself to millions of cringe worthy puns so we’ll try and avoid them and get to the point…

The ‘Write On’ Pencil set has transformed the humble 2B into a unique bangle, necklace and mini ring – completely realistic from rubber to lead! Make a statement in our ‘Big Sharpy’ Pencil Sharpener Ring, probably the sharpest accessory in town. Finally complete the A* look with our dreamy ‘Women Who Draw Too Much’ Heart Sharpener Necklace the perfect jewel for all creative romantics.

So, what do you think? 10/10?

DRUM ROLL PLEASE…

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

We have LOVED doing the Valentines competitions this week with London’s finest creatives Lily Vanilli and Loulou Loves You. As you can tell, we’ve struggled picking winners as you’re all so cute! But we can’t let these unique prizes go to waste, so here we go!

Lily Vanilli Heart Cake & ‘I like Sweeties’ locket – Kate Fahy, this was the winning entry:

Raspberry & elderflower russian doll cake within a cake within a cake within a cake within a cake within a cake . . . .served with a gin fizz!

Lily agreed that as well as being creative it sound genuinely delicious!

Loulou Loves You Bow & ‘Should I’  Decision Maker Neckace  – Annika Davidson won for quoting True Romance, many people will agree, it’s an awesome film. While we love a disney classic, Lost in Translation, Edward Scissor Hands and many more, we felt that the unruly nature of the film was pretty applicable to the Me & Zena way.

It’s the year of the rabbit in more ways than one!

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

In July 2010 Me & Zena were excited to launch what we secretly knew was our favourite piece of jewellery to date – the Bright Eyes Rabbit ring. Well known faces such as Florence Welch and Fern Cotton own the beautiful bunny as well as host of journalists and bloggers. Most importantly Bright Eyes adorns the fingers of many Me & Zena followers around the globe, which led to a serious shortage. This week purely by coincidence Gold Bright Eyes rings arrived into HQ (in size large) as well as today being Chinese New Year and subsequently the year of of the RABBIT.

We can all look forward to the relaxed year of the rabbit my sources tell me. In comparison to 2010 – the ferocious year of the tiger we will be hard pushed not to revel in a placid attitude – sounds dreamy to us! I could post a million cute bunny photos, but I’ll leave you with one of my all time fave bunny vids

THE AZTEC ZONE

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

We’ll let you in on a big secret. For months our latest design, the ‘I See You’ Hexagon Eye Ring was called the ‘Aztec Eye’ Ring – last minute we went all cryptic.  Aztec is not only satisfying to say, it’s a pretty hot trend right now; accessories, clothing, art – you name it. Admittedly, my knowledge goes no further than Horrible History Angry Aztecs and the Aztec Zone on Crystal Maze - not quite as exotic as I remember.  Take a look at some of the sweetest pieces around.

Super Market Sarah is a fun concept for shopping – where guest designers create beautifully decorated walls with all kinds of treasures and  everything you see is for sale - the wall above obviously shares our love for the Aztec phenom. The company now has a pop up shop in Selfridges where you can also find us!

Aztec shorts

Topshop have spied the trend creating these Aztec shorts – there’s something weird but great about these being knitted, perfect for geeks like us.

Lucy Jay

Lucy Jay designs some radical scarves – her ‘Patrick’ creation above perfectly coordinates with our ring – maybe go all out and get the shorts, scarf and ring…?

And finally

ISY-GC_CROPPED

The crown in the aztec jewel – our ‘I see you’ hexagon eye ring, available in 3 hypnotic colour ways!

This may not have been a history lesson, but heck at least you know where to for some geometric patterned treats.
